Neck Taper
The classic neck taper is not as easy as it looks. The neck taper takes six steps to master.
Step One :
Create a hard line with your zero blade,
adjacent to the hair line.
Step two:
Take your open one blade out and cut the hair down to level one.
Step three :
From this point you must blend the hair from 000 to 1. Start from the 000 and work your way up to open one blade by proceeding to 00, then 0A until the line is blended into the 1.
Step four :
Next, attach your one guard to your clipper. Put your lever in the center of clipper and comb the hair down to the neck. With the clipper go down with the grain of the hair.
Only a half an inch or an inch from the top of the line you blended to the 1.
Step five :
Have your clippers open with the one guard attached and take out any imperfections you see, going against the grain this time.
Last step is to shape up the back of the neck.
